Meet your Consultant

Emily Davenport, ATR-BC, LCAT, LPAT

Emily Davenport is a NY and NJ licensed board-certified Art Therapist, published author, supervisor, parent of three, and mental wellness expert.

Drawing on her background in school-based mental health and program development, she specializes in anxiety and trauma treatment, coaching, and workplace wellness initiatives. With over 16-years of clinical experience, she integrates evidence-based approaches with Behavior Modification principals, mindfulness, and Art Therapy to create a nonpathologizing approach to wellbeing.

Overview of relevant experience

Drawing from extensive experience and intensive post-graduate training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) under Dr. Shari Manning, Phd and The Nurtured Heart Approach (NHA) to behavior change.

School-Based Behavior Change: Co-developed and delivered DBT-Informed therapeutic programming and behavior modification support for High-Risk-Youth.

New York City Children’s Center (Intensive Day Treatment Program).

Self-Harm & Non-Suicidal Self-Injury: 14-years treating patients who self-harm and coaching effective responses to self-harm behaviors.

Art Therapy Program Development : Developed and led trauma-informed Art Therapy programming for adults and youth
