Hi! I’m Emily. A Westchester licensed therapist helping women and parents shift from control to connection.

I hold fifteen-years of clinical experience working with women who struggle with anxiety, complex trauma, Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD), and self-sabotaging behaviors.

My approach integrates evidence-based therapies, such as Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR), and Mindfulness practices with Art Therapy.

I truly believe that you are capable of healing and wellness.

I help women find relief from anxiety and trauma.

Trauma isn’t always the result of catastrophic events. It can also arise from difficult life experiences that may not have seemed significant at the time.

Many women carry lingering emotional wounds from the past—whether from childhood, painful relationships, or major life changes. You might find yourself revisiting certain memories or feelings without fully understanding why, especially if they don’t “seem” traumatic on the surface.

“Healing is not becoming the best version of yourself. It’s letting the worst version of yourself be loved. Healing is saying every single version of me deserves love, deserves tenderness, deserves grace.”

Have you ever tried to “think” your way out of anxiety?

It often doesn’t work. Here’s why.………

Your emotions, and motivations are stored in your “feeling brain” or limbic system.

Traditional talk therapy typically only accesses your ‘thinking brain’ or prefrontal cortex in sessions.

That’s why traditional talk therapy doesn’t work for some people.. AND…that’s why many people can’t just ‘think’ their way out of anxiety.

In order to heal from trauma, anxiety, it’s critical to integrate limbic-system healing.

I specialize in limbic system therapies such as Mindful Therapy, Somatic awareness, Art Therapy and EMDR.

Let’s view unhelpful behaviors through the lens of survival, not pathology.

I practice trauma-informed mind-body therapy and offer a bottom-up approach to wellbeing. I recognize that the body and mind are interconnected, and that experiences can become trapped in the nervous system.
