Anxiety Therapy & Parent Coaching
Westchester New York
New York and New Jersey
Welcome!
I’m Emily, a Licensed Art Therapist, Anxiety Specialist, and Parent Coach.
I’m passionate about providing trauma-informed anxiety treatment and parent coaching for teens, women, and parents stuck in cycles of conflict, worry and self-doubt.
I’m also a local mom and published author.
AS SEEN IN
I view those unhelpful behaviors through the lens of survival, not pathology.
I help people shift from control, to connection. My therapy and coaching techniques are rooted in evidence-based practices that promote healing and resilience.
Teen & Adult Therapy Specialties
Attachment Trauma
When the early relationships we depend on (parents or caregivers) are unsafe, abusive, inconsistent, invalidating, immature, or emotionally unavailable.
People Pleasing & Perfectionism
People-pleasing and perfectionism are often survival strategies that people develop after going through experiences where love, safety, or acceptance felt conditional. Being hyper-aware of others' moods, needs, and expectations helped them navigate an unpredictable or painful environment.
Anxiety & Panic
Anxiety may show up as replaying what you said / did “wrong”, difficulty relaxing, catastrophizing, future thinking, muscle tension, feeling “on-edge”, or panic.
PTSD & C-PTSD
Coaching for parents who are stuck in power struggles or who simply want better resources to parent more effectively.
Divorce & Co-Parenting issues
Helping parents and children navigate new rituals, and process change and loss while supporting healthy co-parenting habits.
Trauma Therapy
Evidence-Based Trauma treatment for Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and Complex Trauma due to experiencing distressing life event(s) such as an assault, abuse, neglect, disaster, bullying, medical trauma, or other terrifying experiences.

What’s it like to work with an Art Therapist?
Talk Therapy: As a Licensed Art Therapist, I’m trained in talk therapies, too! The amount of ‘talk’ therapy differs depending on my clients needs.
Art Making: We’ll explore creative modalities such as creative writing, drawing, painting (and more) to help you express, connect and heal.
Mindfulness: I regularly use trauma-informed breath work, guided meditation and visualizations to help you regulate stress and feel more safe in your body and help you settle your nervous system.
Evidence-Based Techniques: We’ll engage in therapies such as Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) Therapy and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) Skills in addition to creative and mindful modalities.
