What’s it like to work with an Art Therapist?
Talk Therapy: As a Licensed Art Therapist, I’m trained in talk therapies, too! The amount of ‘talk’ therapy differs depending on my clients needs.
Art Making: We’ll explore creative modalities such as creative writing, drawing, painting (and more) to help you express, connect and heal.
Mindfulness: I regularly use trauma-informed breath work, guided meditation and visualizations to help you regulate stress and feel more safe in your body and help you settle your nervous system.
Evidence-Based Techniques: We’ll engage in therapies such as Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) Therapy and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) Skills in addition to creative and mindful modalities.
